What are others saying about CTLA?
I am using ideas that I got from CTLA this semester.
Great way to be exposed to new gadgets and uses of technology.
CTLA got my creative juices going. It helped me realize that a lot of fun and exciting things are still happening in accounting education.
The passion of those who attend is contagious.
This was one of the best conferences that I have participated in since becoming a member of AAA. Thanks!

Metacognition: The Key to Sustainable Learning in 21st Century Accounting
21st Century students come to college with widely varying academic skills, approaches to learning, and motivation levels. Faculty often lament that students are focused on achieving high grades but are not willing to invest much time or effort in learning. This session will focus on the importance of helping accounting students acquire simple, but effective learning strategies based on cognitive science principles. We will engage in interactive reflection activities that will allow attendees to experience strategies that significantly improve learning while transforming student attitudes about the meaning of learning
