Save the date for the 16th Annual APLG/FSA Joint Seminar in Long Beach, California on February 7-8, 2020. The meeting provides invaluable networking, resources, and insights for Program Directors, Department Chairs, and Deans as well. Among the agenda topics this year is the status of the AICPA/NASBA initiative dubbed “CPA Evolution” (www.evolutionofcpa.org). This effort aims to transform the CPA profession and its licensure model in recognition of the need for rapidly changing CPA skills and competencies necessitated by constantly escalating technological disruption. Join discussions around the initiative’s status and challenges as well as its potential impact on accounting education. We hope to see you and a colleague from your school in February.
