Nominate a Faculty Member for the AAA Mid-Career Faculty Consortium:
The American Accounting Association (AAA), with generous funding provided by the EY Foundation, is holding the Mid-Career Faculty Consortium for Newly Tenured Faculty. The event will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, GA Wednesday, June 11, 2025 (after lunch) through Friday, June 13 at Noon.
To attend, newly tenured faculty must be nominated by their department chair, selected by the committee, and invited. Nominations are currently open and will close at midnight Monday, March 31, 2025.
Nomination Requirements:
1. Each U.S. AACSB business-accredited school is eligible to nominate one accounting faculty member who received promotion and tenure in calendar years 2024 or 2025. Visiting faculty members are not eligible.
2. The consortium has been generously sponsored by the EY Foundation. If a nominee is invited, the school or the faculty member must pay a $200 program fee (per attendee). Travel, lodging, and meals are included with registration (conditions apply)*. Faculty may attend only one Mid-Career Faculty Consortium.
Why should department chairs nominate?
The Mid-Career Faculty Consortium is designed specifically for newly tenured faculty, offering a reflective, engaging space to explore the steps in their academic career journey. It’s more than just a conference – it’s a moment to pause, recharge, and look ahead with renewed energy and direction.
Why now?
Thanks to generous sponsorship from the EY Foundation, this program is offered at the minimal cost of $200 per faculty member! Travel, lodging, and meals are included in the conference registration. However, spots are limited and will be filled with eligible candidates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once a nomination is approved, attendees must be a current member of the AAA to register for the event.
The nominations deadline is midnight Monday, March 31, 2025.
