The team at Bruce Mau Design (BMD) was tasked with designing a Centennial Logo for the American Accounting Association. As you might remember, BMD designed the “new” logos for the Association in 2010. At the March 2011 Council Meeting, Section and Region names were selected in a two-part drawing and assigned their individual logo colors. For the Centennial Logo design, their vision was to retain the integrity of the existing logo, yet incorporate the importance of a century of history. The “100” design is comprised of all of the colors of both the AAA as shown in the number “1” and of all the Sections and Regions shown in the two “0”s. The tagline “Celebrating A Century of Thought Leaders in Accounting” unifies the existing shield logo with the 100 to mark the anniversary. This modern, yet classic design, conveys the importance of all AAA members’ contributions to our rich history.
