Teaching Session #7: Reuse and Recycle: Alteryx in Data Input, Cleansing and Analysis Repurposing existing data analysis assignments is a method of incorporating new data analytics tools into the accounting classroom by enhancing existing accounting cases that have been previously implemented. In this session, we will present two cases that have been repurposed for use of Alteryx as related to data input, cleansing, and analysis: 1) an introductory case related to travel expenses; and 2) a more comprehensive case based on purchase cards. We will present how to use both cases in the classroom, as well as review the instructor materials for solving the cases with Alteryx. In addition, we will present general guidelines on how to repurpose existing cases with newer data analytics tools. Presenters: Lorraine Lee, University of North Carolina Wilmington
