Statement of Interest
I am pleased to accept the nomination for President of the AAA. The accounting profession is navigating rapid technological innovation and shifting regulatory priorities. These developments present challenges but also create exceptional opportunities for accounting academics, whose research, teaching, and service uniquely shape the knowledge base and intellectual direction of the field. As our membership continues to broaden in interests, methods, and career paths, the AAA must keep evolving to ensure that all members find meaningful value in its programs and community. I am confident that the AAA is well positioned to meet these challenges. By strengthening the infrastructure that supports high-quality research, encouraging innovation in accounting education, and fostering deeper engagement with practice and policy, we can elevate both the profession and our scholarly contributions. My aim is to help the Association adapt thoughtfully and proactively, providing services and support that matter to members and advance the future of accounting.

Statement of Interest
I joined the AAA when I started my career as an accounting academic. At the time, I had little understanding of the significant impact it would have on my professional development. My involvement in sections and regions provided important connections with colleagues, mentors, and friends who fundamentally shaped how my career evolved. These benefits only increased as I became more involved with the AAA over time.
Because of the role the AAA played in my career, I am excited about the possibility of serving as president of the organization. The accounting academy faces a rapidly changing environment, from the increasing impact of artificial intelligence to the changes that alternative pathways to CPA certification will mean for our programs and students. I look forward to the opportunity to help the AAA address these challenges and shape the future for both the accounting academy and the broader profession.

Statement of Interest
I am honored to be considered for Director–Focusing on Membership. I’ve been part of the AAA since 1996, nearly thirty years of learning, leading, and connecting through this extraordinary community. I knew I wanted to be an accounting professor in 10th grade, and the AAA has nurtured that lifelong calling. Within the Management Accounting Section, I’ve served as Membership Chair, Secretary-Treasurer, Teaching Colloquium Coordinator, and member of the MAS Task Force on Curriculum Issues, helping our section respond strategically to the evolving needs of the profession. I’m known for running efficient, engaging meetings that get results, communicating clearly, and thinking strategically about how to build engagement and impact. As Director–Focusing on Membership, I would work to help members at every career stage—those just starting out, newly tenured colleagues seeking their next chapter, and senior scholars defining their legacy—find inspiration, connection, and purpose within the AAA community.
