2022 Intensive Data Workshop:
Before You Go

What computer are you bringing?  Does it have enough memory?  Is it a PC or a Mac?  Is Office or Office 365 installed? Have you downloaded the trial versions of software needed for your sessions?

For a continually updated version of these instructions, please bookmark this page and visit regularly before and during the conference.

 

Attendees who have used trial software:

You may need to uninstall and reinstall the latest version of your software. Please see “ASAP” section below for details.
Your laptop should have 16 GB of RAM for best performance. Use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge for your browser. You should also have either Microsoft Office or Office 365 installed. Your pc laptop should be using Microsoft Windows version 10 or greater. Macs are fine (16GB minimum RAM, 32GB is better) just cannot run some Microsoft programs without having a program like Parallels or Bootcamp.  See Session technology requirements for specifics.

 

ASAP:  Ask for academic access and/or request a demo, it may take a few days!

  • Caseware IDEA Education Version https://academicportal.casewareanalytics.com
     
  • EYARC account: You can request an EYARC account from eyarc@ey.com if you do not already have one. Please provide your name, school and school email address. Please be aware that access is only available for faculty from non-profit higher education institutions. Anticipate up to one business day for account creation and authentication. Once you have authenticated your access to the site, bookmark https://www.ey.com/us/arc
     
  • Tableau Desktop (pc or Mac) and download the software: https://www.tableau.com/academic/teaching

    • Terminal A or B side, follow brown signage to Hyatt Terminal Top Parking
      (follow double helix up to 3rd floor, then search for brown signage toward Hyatt terminal top parking / ”additional parking” white signs – cross over bridge to Hyatt terminal top for hotel parking)
    • We advise that your guests do NOT use their e-pass/sunpass, to receive the discounted parking rate
    • Regularly priced at $19 for the day
       
  • Valet Parking –Discounted Group Rate; $7 Day Rate or $16 Overnight
    • Terminal B side, follow brown signage to Hyatt Valet
      • Terminal B Side, drive slightly past the arrivals/departures area, then to your immediate left will see the Hyatt logo / fountain.  Veer left into the Hyatt Front Drive (brown signs)
    • Regularly priced at $25 per day

The discounted parking exit vouchers will be provided at registration for day attendees.

Exit passes will be provided to overnight attendees, upon check-in to their guest rooms.

All attendees will use exit vouchers, upon leaving the garage or valet areas

Registration and technical support will be open Sunday May 22 from 2:00-7:00 pm or Monday May 23 starting at 7:00 am by the Continental Ballroom Foyer.

WiFi is provided (consider having a backup source as we only have one connection per person).
