CPE Verification Instructions

CPE FORM

To receive the Certificate of Completion for CPE credit for this meeting, please follow these important steps:

  • Complete the interactive CPE Verification Online Form. Please note that members must self-report the sessions that they attended.
  • Save the completed form to your computer.
  • After the meeting, email the completed form to mycpe@aaahq.org or if you prefer, you can print the form, complete it manually, and mail to: American Accounting Association 9009 Town Center Parkway, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202 or  Fax to 941-923-4093
  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for verification and processing of your credit hours. Once complete, you will receive your Certificate of Completion via email.

2024 IMA Doctoral Colloquium Learning Objectives

1.    To identify managerial accounting research topics that are relevant to contemporary business issues.   
2.    To understand the use of AI in the research and publication process and related ethical issues. 
3.    To learn about methodological issues in using information technologies to process large, unstructured data for research. 
4.    To gain access to field data and conduct field studies with practice implications.    
 


2024 Learning Objectives for Midyear Meeting: 
The conference will provide participants with the following learning objectives.  Attendees will be provided with knowledge on:

 

  1. Explain what management control systems are.
  2. Understand the challenges of target setting in management accounting.
  3. Understand the challenges of performance measurement in management accounting.
  4. Explain how new technologies like, e.g., AI, affect management control systems.
  5. Link control problems in a firm with corporate governance and corporate social responsibility activities.
  6. Understand the factors influencing executive compensation.

2024 Learning Objectives for the CGMA Teaching Symposium:

  1. •     Provide ideas for engaging students with experiential learning, critical thinking, and substantive interaction. 
  2. •     Identify characteristics of future ready accounting professionals and what instructors can do to prepare students.
  3. •     Formulate strategies for using a mastery approach to learning in your classroom.
  4. •     Provide ideas about how to help students manage uncertainty and how to substantively interact with students in online classes

CPE Information: The total number of CPE Credits an attendee can earn is 14.4 credit hours.

Refunds and Cancellations: All cancellations must be received in writing at the AAA in order to be processed (email info@aaahq.org). Cancellations received after December 4, 2023, will incur a $50 cancellation charge. No refunds will be available for cancellations after December 27, 2023, or for no-shows.
