Midyear Meeting Best Paper Award
The "Midyear Meeting Best Paper Award" for the Financial Accounting Reporting Section of the American Accounting Association recognizes the paper presented at the Midyear Meeting that has the most potential to advance our understanding of financial accounting and reporting. The winner is selected by an Awards Committee, appointed by the President of the Section. In addition to selecting the winning paper, the Awards Committee may select a limited number of additional papers for special recognition as finalists in the competition.
The Midyear Meeting Best Paper Award carries with it a $1,500 cash prize for the winners and an engraved plaque for each author. The winning paper is announced and recognized at the Section's meeting during the AAA Annual Meeting in the year of the award.
All papers presented at the Midyear Meeting are eligible for this award. The Awards Committee will solicit nominations from among the pool of presented papers.
