THE MAS PHD STUDENT MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

With generous support from the MAS PhD Student Fund, the MAS PhD Mentorship Program will take place during the 2022 IMA Doctoral Colloquium!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – 2022 DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS AND FACULTY

We are pleased to announce that the third annual MAS PhD Mentorship Program will take place during the 2022 IMA Doctoral Colloquium!

What is it?
Participating students meet with one assigned faculty mentor for 30-45 minutes during the IMA Doctoral Colloquium and receive feedback on a research proposal.

Those selected for the program may receive up to $500 as a reimbursement of conference travel costs (e.g., airfare, hotel) from the MAS PhD Student Fund subject to final approval from the MAS PhD Student Board.

Why should students apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to spend one-on-one time with more experienced researchers and receive valuable feedback on your research proposal.

Who is eligible?
3rd and 4th year PhD students.

How do students apply?

To apply, 1) select the PhD Mentorship Program option when applying for the MAS Doctoral Colloquium HERE and 2) download, complete and submit your research proposal template HERE by Friday October 1, 2021

What happens after students are accepted to the MAS PhD Student Mentorship Program?
Once admitted, students will be informed of the faculty mentors with whom they are matched.

Prior to the Colloquium, matched students and faculty mentors can discuss whether any updates have been made to the research proposal, the aspects of the proposal for which feedback is desired, and any other pertinent issues related to the proposal.
