Located in the Hyatt Regency Chicago, the 2015 Career Center at the Annual Meeting is the AAA's biggest recruiting event, where applicants and institutions from across the country can make connections! Supported online by the AAA Career Center, the Career Center at the Annual Meeting offers services that make job recruitment easy and efficient at very affordable prices for both employers and job seekers. 

Online Annual Meeting registration is now closed, however online registration for the career center is still open. Be sure to get your badge on-site first, you will need your badge to enter the Interview Hall area. If you have any

Employers: Need to fill an open position?

  • Post your job opening through the AAA Career Center.
  • The Career Center will cater to your recruiting needs by allowing you to browse resumes, contact job seekers and reserve interview tables at the Annual Meeting.
  • Institutions will have the ability to maximize their recruiting time by purchasing time slots in our Interview Hall.

The Career Center at the Annual Meeting Registration is NOW CLOSED. If you would like to purchase an Interview Hall Booth, you can do so on-site starting Sunday, August 9th @ 9am. Please come by the Career Center Staff table located at the Hyatt Regency, East Tower, Purple Level. Also, the Career Fair at the Annual Meeting is now full. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Register for the Career Center at the Annual Meeting today and we will add the 2015 Career Center at the Annual Meeting icon to your resume posting on our online Career Center. The icon allows employers to search for job seekers who are attending the Annual Meeting and allows you to schedule interviews with employers on-site.

  3. Employers will contact you if they would like to schedule an interview with you.

EMPLOYER REGISTRATION

Welcome to the 2015 Career Center at the Annual Meeting employer registration! The Career Center at the Annual Meeting offers multiple options for recruiting institutions. Below are step by step instructions on how you and your organization can participate in this one of a kind opportunity!

1.) In order to attend the Career Center at the Annual Meeting you must be a member of the AAA.

2.) Register for the AAA Annual Meeting in Chicago.

3.) Post a job listing.

    • New to Career Center? Create an account here. Your online job posting includes a print ad in The Accounting Review and unlimited resume access.
    • If your Institution currently has a job posting in the Career Center online, which you would liked to be advertised at the Career Center at the Annual Meeting, you can renew it for an additional 120 days for only $300. Click here to renew your job posting.
    • After you have posted your position you can search and contact job seekers in the resume bank.
    • When you find candidates you are interested in, you can communicate with them, and even set up interviews before the Annual Meeting to fully vet the candidates.

4.) Purchase an Interview Hall package. Click here to view packages. Each table will have a curtained drape on three sides to give you more privacy for your interviews. Tables will be reserved on a first come first serve basis, so be sure to reserve your table today!

    • After you have purchased your packages, Mimi Janotka will send you an email confirming your purchase, as well include a link to Sign UP Genius where you will need to reserve your Interview Hall Booth. Please only sign up for the packages you have paid for.
    • When you click on the Sign Up Genius link, please create an account. This will allow you to manage your Interview Hall schedule, as well give you the ability to save and block the time off in your Outlook, Mac, or Google Calendar.

5.) Schedule your interviews!

    • Once you have posted your position and selected a Career Center at the Annual Meeting Add-on, your job listing will be displayed with the Career Center at the Annual Meeting “AAA” icon to announce your interest to job seekers of recruiting and scheduling interviews at the Career Center.
    • You can now view attendees’ resumes. Please click on “View 2015 Career Center at the Annual Meeting attendees' resumes” under the CAREER FAIRS section.
    • The process by which you can invite job seekers to interview with you is designed to preserve job seeker anonymity until they commit to communicating with you.
    • The process of scheduling interviews with your candidates is entirely up to you. We recommend using your Outlook planner to send out invites, or via email. We are not responsible for knowing your interview hall schedule on-site, and at what times you’re meeting with candidates. This process should be managed on your own.
    • On-site, your candidates will be given instructions to sit in a particular section in the Interview Hall waiting area, so that it is easier for you to identify your candidate when you are ready to proceed to the Interview Hall.
    • Candidates cannot go inside the Interview Hall unless they are escorted by the recruiter, or University staff member. It is up to the interviewer to find their candidates outside in the Interview Hall waiting area.

Reservations on site
We cannot guarantee we will have a table for you in the Interview Hall if you need it. We will accommodate you if we have a booth available, but we cannot guarantee it will be the time slot you are requesting. We will process your order on site, please have your credit card ready.

“Show up” fee for reservation for booth with drapes: $100
“Show up” fee for reservation for table in the back (no drapes); $75

Job seeker registration

Welcome to the 2015 Career Center at the Annual Meeting Job Seeker registration! Below are step by step instructions on how you can participate in this one of a kind opportunity!

1.)In order to attend the Career Center at the Annual Meeting you must be a member of the AAA.

2.) Register for the AAA Annual Meeting in Chicago. The Career Center at the Annual Meeting registration fee for job seekers is $25.00

3.) Post your resume.

                New to Career Center? Create an account click here.

    • You will have the option to post an anonymous or public resume in the Career Center resume bank. Your resume listing will be posted with the 2015 Annual Meeting “AAA” icon next to it, to indicate to employers that you will be attending the Career Center at the Annual Meeting and that you are interested in scheduling interviews.
    • Employers registered for the Career Center at the Annual Meeting will have the same "AAA" icon next to their job postings. You are free to search through all of the job postings and contact any employer inquiring about job openings, but you'll only be able to schedule interviews in the Interview Hall with employers registered for the Career Center at the Annual Meeting.
    • Choosing the institutions you would like to interview with and the times during their open schedules in which you would like to meet them IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU. If you have posted an anonymous resume, and an employer reaches out to you, you have the option of responding back or not.
    • Please consider your choice of the question below carefully. If you choose check the box that says "Reveal your contact information to all registered employers" then all registered Career Center at the Annual Meeting employers will be able to see your contact information by accessing your posted resume. However, your resume will still be anonymous to employers who have not registered for the Career Center at the Annual Meeting.  If you leave the box unchecked then your resume is completely anonymous to all employers.
