2016 Management Accounting Section Meeting: Research and Case Conference, IMA Doctoral Colloquium, and Teaching Symposium will be held January 6-9, 2016 at the Westin Galleria in Dallas, Texas.

  • We would like to thank the Institute of Management Accountants for its generous support in sponsoring the 2016 Management Accounting Section Doctoral Colloquium.

The IMA Doctoral Colloquium is open to all doctoral students, at any stage in their degree, whose research interest is management accounting. Participants in prior colloquiums are eligible and encouraged to participate again. We will likely have room for everyone who wants to attend. However, space is limited and, if necessary, priority will be given to more senior students (through the 5th year) and those students who have not previously attended.

There is no cost for attending the colloquium, and students attending the colloquium are automatically registered for the conference. In addition, the first 50 colloquium attendees to apply will have Wednesday night's stay (Wednesday and Thursday nights’ stay if participants share a room with another participant) at the conference hotel reimbursed by the American Accounting Association (AAA).

Click Here to APPLY for the colloquium.

Note that you must be a member of AAA and the Management Accounting Section in order to apply. Application deadline is October 23, 2015. Notification of acceptance decision will be emailed on November 4, 2015.

If you have any questions, please email one of the colloquium directors:
