It is also home to the World Famous Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that provide four weeks of family-friendly entertainment including world famous entertainers. If a trip to the beach is what you are looking for, the beaches of Galveston are only a short trip away. Located only an hour southeast of Houston, Galveston offers attractions such as Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, and the Historic Pleasure Pier.
