About the University of Cincinnati

Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati (UC) is recognized as one of the nation’s leading urban public research universities. UC is ranked No. 5 in the U.S. for co-ops and internships by U.S. News & World Report, and our students collectively earn $88 million annually working for thousands of co-op employers. Home to more than 53,000 students and 340,000 living alumni, UC features a blend of strong academics, top-rated research programs and world-renowned faculty—all located in Cincinnati, consistently ranked as a top destination for new college graduates.

UC’s momentum is fueled by the launch of Next Lives Here, the Cincinnati Innovation District, a $100 million JobsOhio investment, a decade of record enrollment, worldwide leadership in cooperative education, a dynamic academic health center, and membership in the Big 12 Athletic Conference. The university’s FY25 annual budget exceeds $1.85 billion, and its endowment totals $1.8 billion.

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business empowers students to tackle the world’s business challenges. Lindner students recognize their leadership potential, elevate their skills and build their resumes, networks and confidence through experiential learning opportunities—the gold standard of which is co-op. Lindner requires its undergraduate students to complete multiple co-ops—paid, professional experiences—prior to graduation, ensuring students graduate ready to start their careers and meet the needs of local, regional and national employers.

Carl H. Lindner Hall, a $120 million, 225,000-square-foot facility that opened in fall 2019, serves as home to more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and firmly positions Lindner among the nation’s top business schools. Lindner also houses a robust accounting program, with over 700 students across its undergraduate, Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Taxation, and Ph.D. in Accounting programs.

Cincinnati, a metropolitan area of over two million people, serves as a regional hub of commerce and innovation that attracts top business talent from around the world. Located on the banks of the Ohio River, Cincinnati boasts a vibrant downtown and numerous suburbs, all within a 30-minute drive of campus. The city combines the friendliness of a small town with the amenities of a big city. It has a lively downtown district filled with breweries, unique restaurants, events and attractions, including professional sports teams.
