The Accounting, Behavior, and Organizations Section of the AAA is pleased to announce its Sixteenth Annual Doctoral Consortium. The Consortium will be held in conjunction with the ABO Research Conference.  The Consortium is designed for PhD students interested in conducting behavioral research. New faculty (i.e., those less than three years post PhD) also will be considered for attendance at the Consortium, space permitting.

We will start off with a welcome reception on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 5:00 pm and the Consortium will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 7:30 am- 12:00 pm (immediately prior to the ABO Research Conference).  Expert researchers will present talks on how to conduct and publish high-quality research as well as on how to manage academic careers.  Participants also will have opportunities to ask questions and interact with the presenters.

The Doctoral Consortium is free for student members of the AAA (although students do not need to be members of the ABO section).

Students who are accepted to the Consortium will receive one (1) night hotel reimbursement for their hotel room (including taxes and fees) at the Conference Hotel. More information regarding reimbursement process will be sent to those accepted to the Consortium.

To apply to attend the Consortium, PhD students and new faculty should complete the form by Monday, July 25, 2022. We will process qualifying applications in the order they are received. Please ensure you apply early, since space at the Consortium is limited.  You will be notified by Monday, August 15, 2022, whether you have been accepted for the Consortium.

With respect to the ABO Research Conference, PhD students will need to register, even if they are accepted for the Consortium.  New faculty accepted for the Consortium will also need to register for the Conference separately and pay the standard Conference fee.
The ABO Doctoral Consortium provides an exciting opportunity to bring together new and established behavioral researchers to exchange research ideas and career experiences.  We hope that you will join us this October.

Regards,

Tamara Lambert
